Report cards for First Semester are now posted. Below is a quick reminder on how to access student report cards.

Parent Student Records (NebSIS Family) can be accessed from the Gretna District Homepage or the Palisades Homepage.  Look for the “Parent/Student” or “Parent” link, and then select Parent Student Records from the drop-down menu.

We are off to a great start for 2026!  The children have settled quickly back into their routines.

I am asking for parent help in getting children to school on time. We have adult supervision for our kids every morning starting at 7:30am.  Students are dismissed to their classrooms at 7:50am and the tardy bell rings at 8:00am.

Attendance is a critical factor in any child’s school success. Children should attend school every day, except in cases of illness or emergency.  It is impossible to replace the learning that happens on any school day with make-up work.  Regular attendance and promptness are good habits that are expected and appreciated at all levels of schooling and in the workplace. For the remainder of the year, make school a priority in your home.  Your child’s future depends on it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

During the 2025-2026 school year, Gretna Public Schools operates eight three-year-old and twelve four-year-old, half-day special education preschool classrooms.  These classrooms support Gretna's students with special needs through participation in general education classrooms with neighborhood children.

Our preschool classrooms consist of up to 50% children with special education needs and 50% neighborhood children who do not receive special education services.  For more information about our preschool programs, please click the Preschool tab in the left column.
